Efficient and accurate diagnosis of your pet’s health condition enables us to provide positive outcomes. At Fort Garry Veterinary Hospital, we're proud to offer a wide range of in-house diagnostic testing.
Our mission is to provide your pet with high-quality specialty diagnostic services and products. When you bring your pet in for a checkup, emergency treatment, or maintenance, you want to know that they will benefit from the best chance of early detection should any disease or illness be present. That's why we are the only veterinarian in Winnipeg with full in-house diagnostics on site.
“In-house” means you needn't wait for your pet’s test to return from an outside laboratory. In the most cases, our laboratory test results will return within the hour, if not sooner. This enables us to attend to the important work of keeping your pet in good health. Fort Garry Veterinary Hospital offers the following in-house pet exam diagnostics:
When your pet is not feeling well, an exhaustive “nose-to-tail” examination will most often return a large amount of information, such as important clues that can help us to obtain an accurate diagnosis or to detect the early stages of a developing disease or disorder.
DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY (X-RAY)
We are equipped with state-of-the-art digital radiology equipment to assess your pet’s musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular (cardiopulmonary), urinary, and reproductive systems. Our equipment is designed to minimize the stress on your pet by reducing the amount of time needed for X-rays. It enables us to examine the images closely by allowing contrast and magnification adjustment, without any excessive exposure of your pet to the x-rays.
If your pet displays any of the following signs or symptoms, please schedule an appointment with us today.

Thorough and regular wellness testing will help catch many infections, disorders, diseases and other health conditions early on before they become a serious threat to your pet's well-being.
